Mixing it up today with Americas own pancake plane, if anyone actually knows what this plane is called, please give me a buzz
EDIT: Actually it’s called the Vought V-173 “Flying Pancake” and I actually found it by searching ‘Pancake Plane’ :P Only one plane was ever built but it sustained over 131 hours of flight and was then retired. And actually the top picture is a different plane developed from the V-173 named the Vought X5FU “Flying Flapjack”, 2 of these were built and were also retired, the plane proved so structurally solid that it actually had to be destroyed by a wrecking ball.
